Recently I've been having a lot of time at home starting work for my dissertation, so I decided to double it up some days with testing out some make up products. There's a mixture of things I bought and forgot about, or was too scared to try, and products that I've gone off for some reason or another.
Before we get started, sorry for not having a photo of these in action on my face. You know those days where the selfie is just not meant to be? Please don't tell me I'm the only one.
First up, the thing I loved and forgot about; MAC concealer. This was probably one of my first ever MAC purchases, and I used to be crazy for this. Over spots, under eye, everywhere. These days I can't tell what I loved about it. It's greasy and slides everywhere on my face, especially on my t-zone. Maybe I just need to throw it out? New MAC concealer recommendations below please!
The other bits were all things I bought then forgot about. Classically me. The Maybelline primer I'm still feeling mixed on. It was nice and made my skin feel smooth, but I can't say I noticed a massive difference. And trust me when I say I have pores to make a difference to. I feel like it also made my skin shinier than normal, and not in an entirely good way. Rimmel apocalips in Big Bang was something I picked up in the hype then have been too scared to try ever since. It's so red. My fears were unfounded though, as it looked fabulous on and lasted an age.
Finally the Avon bronzing pearls. What inspired me to buy these (probably the pearls) I'll never know, but oh am I glad that I did. I'm not sure it's really a bronzer, more of a highlighter- bronze hybrid, but the effect it gives it so pretty. It's super light and shimmery, and if I can get my face to play game there will be a full review of this coming soon. On my face and everything.
