Recently I went to YNOT festival in Derbyshire, and as it was my first ever festival I put a lot of beauty research into what other people recommend to take! I didn't want to pack a mini bus of things to take (though I did take two extra outfits I didn't wear), so I went really streamlined. I even surprised myself by not really missing much!
My make up case is one that I made myself a few years ago so sorry you won't be able to pick one up if you like it!
I started with this sample size of Benefit POREfessional primer, then followed it up with some Maxfactor CC stick for under eye circles. I also last minute threw in my Natural Collection correcter stick for redness (not pictured) as redness can be a problem if I get too hot. My concealer of choice, as always, was the Collection lasting perfection and to stop my face getting too shiny I added Rimmel stay matte powder using the Real Techniques powder brush.
I have this sample of Urban Decay eye primer in sin which I threw in just in case I needed it. In case I feel like my face is sliding everywhere I threw in MACfix+, and for eye extras I picked up The Body Shop eye liner and some festival appropriate Barry M fine glitter dust in shade 8, which is white/silvery. I wasn't sure how glam things might get so I packed Rimmel apocalips in big bang just in case because it's pretty long lasting.
Finally, I just picked up the two mascaras that I've been using the most recently, Soap and Glory Thick and Fast and Natural Collection Lash Definition. I didn't opt for anything waterproof and didn't regret that choice! For brows I wanted to keep it simple with Benefit gimme brow because I love the natural look it gives. Finally I packed L'Oreal superliner blackbuster just in case of any cat eye emergencies. You really never know.
To be honest, I probably still packed too much! I didn't use either eyeliners, eye primer or the fix+, so I definitely could have gone without them but I don't think I packed so much that it weighed me down! I would do a skincare equivalent of this post, but to be honest all it consisted of was make up wipes and SPF.
What would you festival make up must haves be? Mine would be my eyebrows and under eye CC!
