Like pretty much everything else ever, I didn't get this when the rest of the world were testing it out. About a month ago I picked up the Maybelline Baby Skin 'instant pore eraser' primer from Boots for £7.99. I've heard such mixed reviews about this, so I wasn't really sure what to expect.
There's no denying that the baby blue packaging is pretty cute, and I'm a fan of make up in squeezy tubes. It doesn't exactly break the bank, and you get a decent 22ml of product. It's definitely one of those 'a little goes a long way' products, and on my face a little pea sized amount covers everything.
For me, this primer was nothing to rave about. Almost the opposite, in fact. It felt quite greasy on my skin, especially on my nose which is most prone to oilyness. The rest of my face wasn't really a problem, but the 'pore eraser' made the pores on my nose look no different at all, unless you count shinier. When I put foundation on top, it was sliding off my skin less than a few hours later.
I don't like putting up negative reviews, but I thought so little of this that I had to share it in case someone else had the same experience! Definitely a no-go for oilier skin in my opinion.
