A new MAC store
recently opened in Derby, which of course would happen the summer I
finish uni (though my student loan probably wouldn't have survived
regular visits). When I was up visiting Jay recently I went in for a
quick look round and of course it ended in a bit of a spending spree.
Don't worry about Jay, I bought him a caramel hot chocolate so he was
okay.
If you're near the new
store and you haven't been, I definitely recommend it because it's
absolutely lovely. The store is quite big, so they've got heaps of
room to display the products properly, and the people who were
working that day were lovely!
I picked up a pro
longwear eyeliner in Rich Experience first, because I've heard that
the pro longwear liners are super long lasting and I wanted to pick
up something a little higher budget that my normal Soap & Glory
buy. I then spotted this colour in the lipstick display and instantly fell in love. It's D for Danger, a matte formula, and is the most beautiful deep pinky red colour. It's nothing like the other MAC colours I have, and I definitely think I'm going to get a lot of wear out of this! When I asked for the lipstick, the girl suggested I try Nightingale lip pencil alongside it. I've never tried a MAC lip liner before, and I thought D for Danger would be a good colour to start trying one with.
The last thing I picked up was the Mineralize concealer in NW15, because normally I go for NC colours, and that apparently might be where I'm going wrong if I'm using it under eye. I also seem to be slowly working my way through every MAC concealer available, so it seemed worth a try.
D for Danger £15.50
Nightingale £12.50
Rich Experience £16.50
Mineralize concealer £17.50
Have you made any recent beauty purchases?
