FOTD; my everyday look

Hey lovelies!
For a while I got out of the habit of wearing much make up, but now I'm back into something of a routine. I've recently become a lot more minimalistic because if the amount of travelling I do, and although I'm still perfecting my travel routine, I think I've got my make up almost sorted!

So here's my standard FOTD that I'm currently falling back on :)

Rimmel fix & perfect pro primer in 002
MAC studio finish concealer in NC15
Collection lasting perfection concealer in fair
MAC espresso and omega (brows)
Rimmel stay matte powder in 003 peach glow
Soap & Glory smoulder kohl in black
Maybelline the colossal volume express mascara in blackest black

So there's my look! I'm going to be posting a few reviews on what I'm wearing here so expect a few coming up :)
Are any of these products part of your everyday look?

Catch up!

 Hey lovelies!

Sorry for my slightly sporadic posting as of late! I've been super busy with things and spending a lot of time at my boyfriend's, which means that I don't always have time to keep caught up with blogging. My most recent posts have all been queued, and since then I've been to two army summer balls, been home, had my phone totally die, done a car boot, come back to my boyfriend's and am currently house sitting!

The summer balls are thanks to my boyfriend's parents, who are both in the army, and they both kindly asked me along and I had an amazing time! I've never really been to a ball before, my closest comparison would be my year 11 prom.

I'm finding blogging hard work at the moment, not only because I have so much to fit in, but also because I've not been buying too many new beauty products recently- the woes of being a student and not being able to afford life!

However over the last few days I read this post by Kate over on gh0stparties about being more organised and it's reminded me how much I miss blogging properly, so I'm going to get myself organised and back into gear. I've rummaged out a few products I haven't reviewed and have a few lists (got to love a good list) of what I'm going to write over the next few weeks, so hopefully I'll be back on track soon!

I hope you're all having a lovely summer!
Do you ever get bloggers block?!

Going Flickr crazy (again)

Hey lovelies,

I'm feeling much more into the photography spirit now that I'm back at home, as halls were depressingly uninspiring for that kind of thing! Between studying and many nights out I barely had time to continue with my photos, but I'm getting back into it so if you fancy a gander my Flickr stream is here and below are a few of my recent photos.
I hope you enjoy!

A few more empties! (#5)

Hello lovelies!

I've made it a bit of a mission to use up more of my beauty products at the moment, because I seem to be getting such a stockpile of them. I'm trying to only buy essentials until I've used up a lot of what I've got, which so far is working fairly well. I do break occasionally though, especially when I see other bloggers raving about things!
First up, skincare! I really love the Boots tea tree & witch hazel line, and this foaming face wash was no exception, plus it lasts for what feels like forever. I would definitely recommend using this if you're looking for something to tone after cleansing, plus it's not that expensive. This No7 day moisturiser is still my favourite to use in the morning, and I've already re-bought it- my review is here! Finally I really loved these first two steps of the Clinique 3 step skin care system, and I'll definitely be repurchasing the full sizes of both the liquid facial soap and clarifying lotion soon! I've done a review of the full 3 steps here.
I picked up this Trevor Sorbie beautifully straightened heat protect spray because I needed a small travel bottle, but I might actually pick up  the full size because it smells amazing! I'm actually sad that it's all gone, because it made my hair feel amazing too.
Like so many other people I jumped at the chance to see what all the hype was about the Bourjois nail polish remover. I wasn't overly keen on using it because it got a bit messy sometimes when I forgot the liquid would pour out if it tips too far, so it ended up being more hassle than benefit, but I do like the concept!
I've always had to use a shaving gel on my legs because they're so sensitive, and this Gilette satin care gel in floral passion is one of my favourite scents. I don't doubt that I'll be repurchasing this in the future, and currently I'm using one of the different smells. I also use this Veet hair minimising moisturiser every day, as I hate having to shave my legs too often (I'm too lazy) and I find that this helps keep my legs smoother for just an extra few days, as well as keeping my skin really well hydrated.
Finally, I've used up quite a few make up products! I've been testing out new powders, and although my love used to lie with the Collection 2000 pressed powder, I think it's safe to say that I'm a convert to the Rimmel stay matte powder. It's a staple in my make up bag! Sadly I can't declare the same love for the Rimmel Scandaleyes show off mascara. It didn't clump or really have any negatives, but it just didn't give my lashes the oompf that I look for. Until recently, I've sworn by the Natural Collection stick concealer, and while I still love it, I've found some other concealers I prefer. Sadly I seem to have quite stockpile of them hidden away... but last and not least is this The Body Shop eyeshadow which I picked up just to mattify my eyelids when I'm going for an eyeliner look. I really loved it even though it's only simple, and if I head that way I might buy it again because I found it to be fairly long lasting.

So that's it for my most recent empties! I hope you enjoyed this post, and I'm thinking of not posting empties again for a few months. I've not got a lot of space to store all the things I'm using up!

OOTD: Serious jumper lovin'

Hello lovelies!

A few days ago I had to venture into the city to retrieve my phone from being sent away for repair, and some days it is still definitely not summer weather here! However I'm not complaining too much, because it meant that I got to wear my new favourite jumper, and it's so so cosy!

Dress - Topshop
Jumper - New Look
Jacket - American Apparel
Necklace - Topshop
Hat - stolen from my boyfriend

I loved this outfit, I felt dressed up enough to go out but so lazy and weekend-y at the same time! Autumn is definitely my favourite season, and I can't wait for it to get here so I can pull this jumper out more often :)
I hope you liked this post!

June favourites ♥

Hello lovelies!

As far as I can remember, I've never actually posted about monthly favourites! I love reading these kinds of posts so I thought I'd share with you what I was loving through June :)

I had a few months where I got out of the habit of using a lot of products, so this month I mainly tried to get back into using the mountain of products that I've got! I started off with using my MAC quad, which I bought back in January (see my haul post) but had yet to use even once. I have the colours brule, omega, kid and espresso. Why did I not start using this sooner?! I'm so in love with using omega on my brows and the other three in a neutral eye combo. I don't wear eyeshadow on a daily basis but this little quad is starting to change my mind. I've also re-found my Natural Collection bronzer in sunshine, because I'm getting back into contouring and this is an amazing colour for my pale complextion.
In my continuing search for a perfect mascara, I've been trying Maybelline's colossal volum' express. I fell in love with a different Maybelline mascara last year, and so far this one is having the same effect! It doesn't clump my lashes together, and layers really well. I might even look at repurchasing it! I've also been using up samples, including this balanced wonder eye cream after seeing someone post about how much they loved it (I'm so sorry I can't remember who it was, if I find it I'll link it!). So far I've not noticed any massive differences, but I have horrid under eye circles so it's worth a shot.
Finally, I've been working my way through this Garnier summer body moisturiser, which you can read about more in my post here :) it's great for my pasty complexion, and has been making me feel a lot more summer-y than I normally do!

So there's my June favourites! I'll be reviewing a couple of these fully soon, and I really enjoyed picking out what I've been loving, so let me know if you'd like to see more of these kinds of posts!
