A little summer Pinterest inspiration!

Hello lovelies!

I used to hate summer clothing so much, mostly because I feel like I melt away in the heat. This year I'm really looking forward to the sun though, and I've been loving getting some inspiration from Pinterest for new outfits!

All of these images can be sourced on my Pinterest fashion board (I wish they could also be sourced straight to my wardrobe...).
Where are you getting your style inspiration from this summer? I've been going a little more crazy than usual over clothes recently!

Summer skin!

Hello lovelies!

Until now, I've never really been a summer kind of girl. I love to just stay inside by a fire curled up with a book, and that's really more suited for winter. However this year I've decided to embrace the hotter weather (as much as possible, I do live in England after all) and venture outside a lot more.
Being someone that burns in the slightest hint of sun, I've never really had much of a tan, and from the time that I do spend out in the sun, I tend to only freckle. With that in mind, this year I've bought some summer skin products that will hopefully encourage me out into the natural sunlight a little more!

I've tended to stick to the same razors and shaving gel but one of my friends convinced me to try the newest (golden...). So far I'm liking the both of them, though I did get a bit of a shock when the shaving gel came out blue. I tend to repurchase the Gilette gels because they're amazing on my sensitive skin and doesn't bring me out in a massive red blotch, which isn't so perfect for that goddess summer look.
But mainly I wanted to talk about the Garnier summer body moisturiser- it has to be one of my favourite summer skincare buys! Like I said, I've always been pale, and I've struggled before to find a natural looking tanning product.
I've only ever touched on gradual tanners, because goodness knows I don't want to change skin tone overnight, but even some of those that I've tried haven't been gradual enough and left me looking suspiciously streaky. The Garnier summer body moisturising lotion promises for a 'light sun-kissed  look', and so far I haven't been disappointed. I use it once or twice a week, and I've only had a problem with streaks once when I rushed putting it on.
I also really love the smell of this, as it is 'with extract of apricot', which doesn't completely get rid of that fake tan smell, but it makes it much more bearable and less noticeable. This is most definitely the best gradual tan that I've ever used, and I think I'll probably repurchase it if I use it that much!

Have you tried this product? If not what's your staple buy for your summer tan?

Dressing table tour ♥

Hello lovelies,

Since I've moved home from halls for the summer, I've had a serious clear out of my room (which ended up being over 20 bin bags of stuff... phew), which included all of my beauty products. I've reorganised my dresser and I'm finally happy with it so I thought I'd give you a little tour! Most of what I'm using at the moment isn't totally what I would normally be using as I'm also working on using up leftover products that I abandoned at home or have bought too much of recently.

I use the top of this shelf for a cute ornament I bought from Evolution. I'm not sure it's a jewelry holder but that's what I'm using it as! I also have my nail varnishes, samples to use up and daily moisturisers.
In a basket below this I have my straightners, cotton wool pads and perfumes that I don't use on a daily basis.
I used to have a jewelry box here but now I just keep the things that I use daily, my make up bag, hair grips, make up brushes and remover.
Over the other side I have my most used lip products along with my sister's jewelry box and my tangle teaser.
In this drawer I'm keeping moisturisers, make up products I'm using next and my travel skincare bag.
Finally, this drawer has some more skincare products that I'm working on using up and various pieces of jewelry I wear less often, as well as my manicure kit.

So that's my current dressing table set up! I never used to be happy with the way it was set up so I'm gad to have finally got it sorted. I'm hoping I'll be doing another post like this in September when I move into my next uni accommodation, which I am so excited for!
I hope you liked this post ♥
